Physical Requirements: Lifting - Must be able to lift items from floor to knee, knee to shoulder, maximum weight to be lifted independently is 65 lbs. Vision - Must have depth perception, the ability to adjust vision to bring objects into focus, and be able to distinguish colors and read numbers. Miscellaneous - Must have physical dexterity and mobility that may be required for kneeling, standing, bending, walking on knees, climbing ladders, repeated raising & lowering of body, and repeated lifting & circular motion of arms over head. Must be able to occasionally lift supplies/equipment. Must be able to work in an environment with dust or other irritants as necessary. REQUIRED SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Goggles, Knee Pads, Face Masks, Gloves, Lock Out/Tag Out Equipment. Function: Operates boilers and auxiliary equipment in an efficient and safe manner as prescribed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Safety and Plant policy, under the direction of the Power Plant Engineer.
