Adecco is looking for a Material Handler to fill a 1st shift position near Ward Hill, MA.Shift Hours are 9.30am - 6pm. This position is starting at $20 per hour. Basic Function: The Material Handler I is responsible for ensuring all daily outbound shipment requirements are completed on-time and that all necessary documentation is filled out accurately and completely to meet shipment requirements. Job Duties and Responsibilities: --- Assists in the daily processing of all outbound shipments to ensure on-time shipments to all destinations. --- Assists in the coordination of deliveries of material from outside warehouses. --- Observe all LEAN, 5S, and safety improvement initiatives and related procedures within the distribution environment Qualifications: -To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. --- Must be able to prioritize daily work activities to ensure shipment requirements are aligned and accomplished. --- Must be able to clearly communicate requirements to vendors, marketing and customer service through both verbal and written communication. --- Build good working relationships with suppliers and external departments. Education and Experience: One to two years of related training and/or experience in distribution or receiving-related business operations is ideal, but not required for this position. Minimum of a high-school certificate is required and college degreed persons will be considered for this position. Impact of This Job: Successful performance of these job duties significantly impacts the timeliness and quality of customer shipments. The ability to reduce costs in scrap activities contributes to the overall corporate cost-saving initiative.
