Key responsibilities: The Stem Cell Scientist delivers reliably and responsibly on research initiatives including the development of human stem cell models and assays to evaluate targets and lead molecules for diseases. Applies technical pro---ciency and attention to detail skills in "troubleshooting", and ability to interpret changes in methodological design. Works with supervisor in setting the objectives of initiatives but may have responsibility for some experimental design. Key Duties:

• Executes, and interprets experiments, with a high degree of reliability
• Leverages technical experience to help prioritize studies, based on Project impact
• Performs basic statistical analysis of experimental data, where appropriate
• Conducts own experimental troubleshooting on routine problems
• Assists with publication and patent submission processes
• Prepares lucid protocols and written study reports
• Surveys relevant scienti---c literature to maintain awareness of issues and trends within the ---eld
• Present studies effectively at internal Group/Department or Project Team research meetings
• Performs other duties as assigned Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in lab sciences such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Material Science, Immunology, Biology, Molecular Biology or similar
  • Scientist: Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years')
  • OR Masters degreeIn some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Proven technical pro---ciency and demonstrated skill in conducting and interpreting experiments including the development of human stem cell models and assays to evaluate targets and lead molecules for diseases.
    • Uses technical knowledge to design and execute follow-up experiments
    • Demonstrated understanding of analysis and interpretation of experimental data with pro---ciency
    • in problem solving and protocol re---nement
    • Often deployed to investigations with more signi---cant consequences and need for reliability
