plan.DescriptionReporting to the Head of Global Risk Solutions
(GRS) Strategy and the President of North America, this role is
responsible for developing and executing the long-term strategy for
the approximately $10 billion North America business, which
includes commercial and specialty insurance operations in the U.S.,
Canada, and Bermuda across Major Accounts, Middle Market, Canada,
and Specialty segments. This leadership position requires
organizational agility, strategic thinking, expertise in commercial
and specialty markets, strong leadership, and communication skills.
The role involves guiding long-term strategy, facilitating
strategic discussions with North America leadership, creating
executive presentations, and aligning with the broader $25 billion
GRS business strategy.Responsibilities
- Set and monitor North America business strategy, including
governance, planning, and success metrics.
- Build strong relationships with North America leadership,
represent their objectives, and drive strategy implementation.
- Bring insights and concerns from North America segments into
GRS-wide planning, influencing activities to align with strategic
goals.
- Develop and maintain internal and external networks to support
cross-business initiatives and incorporate diverse
perspectives.
- Lead key strategic initiatives such as market entry, M&A,
operating models, and capability development, providing analysis
and recommendations.
- Manage external consulting relationships to ensure impactful
and high ROI engagements.
- Lead and develop GRS Strategy & Corporate Development
staff.
- Support the North America President and leadership team in
strategic focus and planning, in partnership with the Chief of
Staff.Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field; MBA
or advanced degree preferred.
- 10-15 years of relevant experience in consulting, strategy,
M&A, finance, or insurance economics.
- Deep understanding of commercial and specialty (re)insurance
markets, with professional designations like CPCU, ARM, ARe,
preferred.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of
building consensus across multiple levels.
- Adaptability and reliability in ambiguous situations, with high
integrity and confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability
to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced
environment.
- Proven leadership abilities.
