Job DescriptionThe Snack Bar Attendant is responsible for performing a variety of duties within the Snack Bar which may include completing customer transactions, cleaning the food or stock areas, assisting in the kitchen area, and maintaining inventory; performing all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management. Maintains a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals through the development of positive relationships with members and guests through effective listening and verbal skills.Compensation: $14.25 per hourMust be available to work on weekdays, weekends and holidaysResponsible:

• Greets customers and takes food orders and, while providing information about menus, looks for the opportunity to "upsell" products
• Operates cash register and receives payment from members and/or guests in cash, check, or card in accordance with policies and procedures
• Cleans and stocks work area and keeps workstations and equipment clean and sanitized
• Receives inventory, moves and lifts food and beverage products and supplies
• Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking the temperature of products
• Knows and reviews all emergency procedures and responds to emergency situations in accordance with policies and procedures; completes related reports as required
• Maintains accurate records as required by the Head Lifeguard and/or the state health department code
• Completes proper check-in of members and guests in accordance with check-in and cash handling procedures
• Attends all staff meetings and in-service training
• Performs other duties as assigned or any reasonable job requestsQualifications:
  • Demonstrate the ability to interact with members, guests, and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner
  • Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
  • Requires the ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
  • Requires the ability to lift/push objects weighing over 40 lbs
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
