The Whole Life Engineering Directorate (WLED) is made up of several
disciplines whose main objective is to influence hardware and
systems during their life cycle to assure effective operation,
reliability, maintainability and economical ownership by the
customer and end user.

Maintenance Engineer, providing meaningful field and office support
to the program Hardware Cross Product and Integrated Product

As a Sr. Maintenance Engineer, you'll work from the Missile Defense
Center (MDC) in Woburn, MA where you'll interface with Program team
members, Subject Matter Experts and the Customer.
Your responsibilities will include:
Performing Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS),
troubleshooting, corrective maintenance and logistical support of
DoD tactical systems and their representative test beds in the
Northeast. Hardware consists primarily of Commercial off the Shelf
electronics such as server and networking hardware, Universal Power
Supplies, Radio Frequency electronic components and test equipment,
remote monitoring systems, and environmental control
systems.Managing spare hardware and coordinating material shipments
using Microsoft Office products. Interpreting Technical Manuals and
drawings as they apply to maintenance, troubleshooting and
procurement activities.Maintaining configuration records and
property lists for program assets.Reporting status of PMCS and
corrective maintenance activities to Program Management and
International travel is required. Approximately six to eight 10 day
duration trips per year to 'Middle East' type locations.
This position can be a Salary Grade G08 or a Salary Grade G09 based
on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills,
experience and responsibility requirements for the position.
This position requires an Active Secret DoD security clearance.
Except in rare circumstances, only US Citizens are eligible for a
4+ years' experience operating, maintaining, and/or troubleshooting
DoD, manufacturing, or industrial equipment
At a Grade G08, 2+ years of
experience in the aforementioned areas along with a relevant
Master's Degree may be considered for this job. At a Grade G09, 4+
years of experience in the aforementioned areas along with a
relevant Master's Degree may be considered for this job).Experience
with tools, RF test equipment, and general test equipment commonly
used in electric installation maintenance and/or test
objectivesExisting Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain a
Top Secret clearance and SCI access.US Citizenship is required.
Experience in logistics management (or specialized coursework in
this domain). Experience supporting military/DOD
programs.Understanding and respectful of foreign cultures and
customs.Competent with technology and systems with remote
capabilities.Self-starter. Capable of working independently.Strong
communication and interpersonal skillsDegree in Science,
Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) is preferred
Bachelor's Degree or 8+ years of relevant experience may be
considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree
