Our Newburyport site works with numerous high temp alloys, titanium, aluminum, conventional metals, and other materials. Whitcraft-Newburyport provides production and prototype parts for domestic and international markets in aerospace, medical, high tech, communications, and numerous other industries. Whitcraft-Newburyport has built a superior reputation for the manufacture of complex precision manufactured products including: Stamped and Formed Components Machined Components Fabrications and Assemblies Due to our continuous growth, we are in need of several Tool and Die Makers. The job description pertains to duties associated and included with this particular position, but is not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Build Tools(from single operation part prints) Follow detailed designs producing all dies, including progressive tools, compound, etc. Setting up and trouble shooting all Dies Work with All Tool Room Materials Proficient in running all Tool Room Equipment Detailed design modifications as needed and working with Design Engineering to incorporate Safe operation of all Tool Room equipment Working +/-.0001 and being able to use measuring instruments Willing and capable of training other toolmakers Setting-up and operating all press equipment Meeting or beating all time standards Working on many jobs simultaneously Must follow and lead by example on all safety issues Must keep work area neat and orderly Follow all applicable AS9100 procedures QUALIFICATIONS: Skills: Excellent Interpersonal skills Proficient in all Tool Room Equipment and all skills to meet the Duties section above CNC Operation Heat treating of Tool Steels Be able to do calculations including trigon meters Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent 10 years experience in Toolmaker Job
