Job Description Description - Under general direction, acts as a
technical expert who consults on highly complex projects. - Devises
or modifies procedures to solve technical problems. - Responsible
for system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and
documentation. - Leads and directs the work of team members. - May
mentor junior team members. - Develops component design. - Develops
system/application architecture. - Develops maintainable/scalable,
effective, defect free source code that meets business requirements
and team standards. - Conducts unit test case development. -
Develops highly complex test scripts. - Identify and implements
appropriate continuous improvement opportunities. - Contributes
technical alternatives. - Telecommuting permitted up to 100%.
Qualifications Employer will accept a bachelor’s degree (or foreign
equivalent) in Applied Computer Science or related field and 8
years of experience in the job offered or in a Principal Software
Engineer-related occupation. Position also requires 8 years of
experience in the following: - Java. - Spring. - REST API Design
and Development. - SOAP Service. - Microservices. - Agile
Methodology. - IT concepts, strategies and methodologies. -
Demonstrated understanding and practical implementation knowledge
of SOLID design principles and design patterns. - Demonstrated
in-depth knowledge of diverse and emerging technologies and new
architectural concepts and principles. - Software engineering
languages and tools. - Demonstrated in-depth understanding of
layered solutions and designs, shared software concepts and product
features, and security. - Business operations, objectives and
strategies, global business and technology trends and the financial
