Database Administrator for Advancement Services The Opportunity
Lesley University seeks a Database Administrator (DBA) for
Advancement Services, a crucial asset to the department.
Responsible for managing, planning, and providing technical
expertise for the Raiser's Edge Fund Raising service, the DBA
collaborates with colleagues to establish consistent processes,
ensuring data integrity in Advancement databases. This professional
will enhance efficiency by implementing automated reporting
solutions, ensuring accuracy in gift processing, and collaborating
with key university users for constituent information. They will
likewise enter gifts and issue acknowledgements and tax letters;
serve as a liaison with the Accounting department on
reconciliations; generate mailing lists for events and fundraising
campaigns; implement procedures for ensuring integrity of the
Raiser's Edge database; and train staff to ensure proper report
generation and data entry procedures are followed. Actively
involved in reviewing and redesigning processes to align with
organizational goals, they will also oversee event registrations
and operational budgets. As a proactive and results-driven
professional, they contribute actively to the university's vision
and values. Qualities and Capabilities
- A Bachelor's Degree or current certification related to
Raiser's Edge database management.
- 5 years of experience with fundraising software, preferably in
higher education.
- Experience with utilizing the Raiser's Edge NXT interface.
- Experience with Omatic's tools available with Raiser's
Edge.
- Demonstrated proficiency using data querying tools with large
data sets.
- Advanced Excel and Word skills and advanced skills with
Blackbaud products.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills. A
commitment to data integrity, consistency, and
confidentiality.
- Ability to maintain a high level of poise and professionalism
in all circumstances.
- Demonstrated ability to take primary responsibility for diverse
number of projects and to complete them in a timely manner with
limited supervision.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills in order to develop
proposals, professional reports, strategic plans, and
correspondence.
- Ability to use social media effectively and measure analytics
across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong proficiency using all forms of technology for
correspondence, advancement tools, presentations, special reports,
spreadsheets, databases, forms, etc. Why Lesley Located in the
