Job Description:
An ADP Client, Uptack Plumbing and Heating is actively seeking a
Payroll and Human Resources Administrator to join their team in
Haverhill, MA 01832. Additional Job Details:Reports to the General
ManagerFull-time and permanent opportunityThis person will be
required to be in the office full-time out of their location at 32
Rochambault Street, Haverhill, MA 01832.Schedule is Monday-Friday
8:00 AM 4:30 PM (On-site)No remote workBenefits package is
available Summary:Uptack Plumbing and Heating is seeking a highly
organized and detail-oriented payroll and human resource
administrator to join their team. In this role, you will play a
crucial part in ensuring the smooth and accurate operation of our
payroll and human resource functions. This position is the first
point of contact for employees regarding attendance, payroll
company benefits and company compliance. Responsibilities:Payroll
processing: Manage end to end payroll processes. This includes
balancing timecards, entering hours in ADP, processing tax status
changes, employee deductions, direct deposit, ensuring timely and
accurate payments to employees.Benefits administration: Administer
employee benefits program, enrollments, and changes. Benefits
programs include health insurance, Aflac, Simple IRA, COBRA and
FMLA. Responsible for working with benefit plan providers to
coordinate yearly renewals.Personnel records: Maintain and update
employee records in compliance with relevant laws and regulations,
ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality. Maintain employee
attendance records including sick time, vacation time and other
accrued leave. Responds to inquiries regarding wage garnishment,
child support payment and unemployment.Onboarding and offboarding:
Facilitate the onboarding and off boarding processes, including
preparing new hire documentation and conducting exit
interviews.Compliance: Stay up to date with labor laws, tax
regulations, and HR best practices to ensure payroll and HR
processes remain compliant. Maintain company employee
handbook.Employee relations: Address employee inquiries and
concerns related to payroll, benefits, and HR policies.Reporting:
Generate regular reports on payroll data, employee headcount, and
other relevant metrics for management. Reconciles all payroll and
benefit related accounts and activities.Collaboration: Collaborate
with employees to support various HR initiatives such as training
and development programs, employee engagement activities, and
policy updates.Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to
enhance efficiency and effectiveness in payroll and HR
administration processes.Perform other related duties as assigned
by management. Requirements:Bachelors degree in human resources,
Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent
experience).Proven experience in payroll processing, benefits
administration, and HR record keeping.Familiarity with relevant
employment laws, tax regulations, and HR compliance.Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to
detail.Proficiency in using ADP payroll software
preferred.Excellent communication and interpersonal
abilities.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive
information with discretion.Strong organizational skills and
ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Prior experience in a
similar role preferred.
