working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Cath Lab RN in
Nashua, New Hampshire, 03060! Job Title: Cath Lab RN Profession:
Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift:
7:00 am - 3:30 pm Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: 3 years in Cath
Lab License: Current RN license required Certifications: BLS
required, ACLS preferred, PALS preferred Must-Have: Must have 2
years of Cath Lab experience. Experience with complex/critical care
medication infusions, including titration management. Enhanced
knowledge of anatomy and physiology, especially cardiac. Experience
with emergency cardiac interventions. Description: The RN develops
an overall view of patients, families, and caregivers. Establishes
strong partnerships to deliver optimal care. Provides in-depth
history and medication review of all patients scheduled for
procedures to ensure patient safety. Demonstrates the ability to
correctly identify periprocedural safety issues and report to the
physician accordingly. Demonstrates clinical expertise in creating
and maintaining a sterile field. Plans and provides equipment and
supplies based on procedure and physician needs. Participates in
on-call assignments and demonstrates flexibility to cover staffing
as needed. Ability to be within a 30-minute radius when on call.
Ability to safely administer procedural sedation and pass annual
sedation examination. Documents sedation according to policies and
procedures. Maintains a safe working environment, including
radiation safety and appropriate personal protection attire.
Demonstrates criteria for arterial and venous sheath removal. Has a
working understanding of guidelines for safe sheath removal when
patients have been given blood thinners prior to sheath removal.
Demonstrates the ability to identify criteria for equipment such as
Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump and IMPELLA. Assists with the setup,
insertion, and maintenance of equipment as needed. Assists with the
insertion of Flow wire, Opsens, and IVUS. Demonstrates
contraindications and reversal for IV adenosine infusion.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of hemodynamic waveforms. Obtains
the ability to monitor arterial waveform during left heart
catheterization. Able to identify damping and ventriculization of
arterial waveforms. Able to correctly identify different
hemodynamic waveforms during right heart catheterizations. Basic
Dysrhythmia preferred or obtained prior to completion of
orientation. NIHSS certification preferred or obtained prior to
completion of orientation. CPI training preferred or obtained
within 6 months of hire. CPI advanced training for the ED and ICU
within 6 months of hire. 3 - 5 years critical care experience
preferred for the Cardiac Cath/Angiography Lab. ASN required, BSN
preferred. Call shifts required for Cath Lab and Stress Lab. 5
