Registered Nurse (RN) | Telemetry / PCU / Stepdown Location: Newport, VT Agency: Lancesoft Inc Pay: $2,380 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/3/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Tele / PCU / Stepdown RN in Newport, Vermont, 05855! Shift Details (In Depth) ? Shift Hours 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Full 12?hour shifts Weekly Schedule 36 guaranteed hours per week Typically 3 shifts per week Schedule may vary based on unit needs, but nights are fixed Weekend Requirement Every other weekend (EOW) is mandatory You will work Saturday & Sunday nights every second weekend Floating Requirement Nurse must float to other units (PCU, Med-Surg, Telemetry, or other hospital areas) depending on staffing needs during the shift Responsibilities Provide high?quality patient care to PCU, Med-Surg, and Telemetry patients. Monitor and manage patients requiring cardiac telemetry and continuous observation. Perform charge nurse duties , including unit oversight and coordination when assigned. Work independently in a 25?bed critical access hospital environment. Float to other units (Med-Surg, PCU, Telemetry, and others) as needed based on staffing. Conduct patient assessments , administer medications, and implement care plans. Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and families. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Cerner EMR . Ensure compliance with hospital protocols , safety standards, and infection control. Respond to patient changes rapidly and escalate care appropriately. Participate in quarterly education sessions required by the department. Provide care during holiday shifts as required. Requirements Experience Minimum 5 years of recent RN experience Strong background in PCU, Med-Surg, and Telemetry nursing Proven ability to work independently in a critical access hospital environment Experience performing charge nurse duties Certifications ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required BLS/BCLS (Basic Life Support) – Required Active RN license (state license acceptable upon offer/acceptance) Skills & Competencies Proficiency with Cerner EMR Ability to float between units as needed Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient monitoring skills Ability to handle diverse patient populations in a 25-bed critical access hospital Availability & Commitment Must work night shift (7p–7a) Must be available for every other weekend Holiday coverage required Must attend quarterly education sessions Ability to start quickly (Quick Start contract) Other Requirements Must be eligible for W?2 employment (facility does not accept 1099) Must follow facility policies, safety standards, and documentation requirements 29269579EXPTEMP
