Nurse RN Inpatient Surgical Unit. We want your knowledge and
expertise! Job Summary and Qualifications POSITION SUMMARY: The RN
demonstrates independence in planning, organizing, administering,
and evaluating patient care in accordance with the NH Nurse
Practice Act, recognized nursing techniques, clinical and
administrative policies. SPECIFIC ELEMENTS & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provide patient and family education and discharge planning. 2.
Recognize and respond to changes in a patient’s condition. 3.
Provide assessment and care of the patients’ history and medical
diagnosis. 4. Coordinates with surgeon’s offices to gather required
documentation prior to the date of the procedure that is scheduled.
5. Demonstrate knowledge of normal anatomy and physiology for
child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient 6. Provide safe
knowledge of medications that must be omitted and continued prior
to the scheduled procedure. 7. Demonstrates knowledge in all body
systems so appropriate testing is done prior to the procedure. 8.
Assists physicians’ offices with scheduling and coordinating care
of their patients prior to all scheduled procedures. 9. Utilizes
all computer systems required for job function and able to
demonstrate timely and accurately documentation. 10. Follows up
with all patients with concerns on care and any medication
information. What qualifications you will need: Basic Cardiac Life
Support, ACLS, PALS must be obtained within 30 days of employment
start date 1-3 years related experience Registered Nurse state of
New Hampshire or valid compact license Associate Degree in Nursing
