ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - PCU Job Details: • Work in Progressive Care Neuro Trauma unit on 4th floor of main building • 23-bed unit with 4:1 patient ratio • Day shift staffing includes 6-7 RNs and 2 aides • Night shift staffing includes 6-7 RNs and 2 aides • Work with bedside monitors, end tidal O2 monitoring, high flow oxygen, chronic vents, and subdural drains • Use Meditech EMR system • Perform typical procedures including chest tubes and EEGs • Float to all inpatient units including ICU and ED • Weekend schedule every other weekend with no on-call requirement • Professional scrubs required with no specific color requirement • Must have telemetry and step-down experience - candidates without these skills will not be considered • Preferred experience in neuro and trauma • Required certifications: ACLS and BLS • Preferred certifications: NHISS and TNCC • Must be team oriented Facility: This healthcare facility operates a specialized 23-bed Progressive Care Neuro Trauma unit that provides advanced monitoring and care for patients with neurological and trauma-related conditions.
