Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/12/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - PCU Job Details: • Work 13-week travel assignment in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) • 2 years hospital experience required • Must have active compact nursing license at time of submission • BLS and ACLS certifications required • Additional NIAH certification required • 4:1 patient ratio • Strong dysrhythmia recognition skills and critical drip experience required • 2 years PCU experience required • Pre/post cardiac catheterization and pacer patient care experience preferred • Prior HCA experience preferred • Float to Med Surg, ICU (for border patients), and Emergency Department (for ED holds) • Work with GE cardiac monitoring and Hospira IV pumps • Use Expanse EMR system • Professional scrubs required (no specific color requirement) • Every other weekend or equivalent based on staffing needs • Must be self-directed, confident, positive, and demonstrate strong communication skills Facility: This medical center operates a 20-bed Progressive Care Unit on the second floor, staffed with 5 RNs and 2 LNAs with flexible staffing based on patient volume. The facility provides specialized cardiac care including pre and post cardiac catheterization services and pacer patient management. The unit maintains modern cardiac monitoring equipment and comprehensive critical care capabilities, serving patients who require intermediate-level monitoring and care between general medical floors and intensive care.
