Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n RN - Med Surg /n/n Job Details: /n • Work on a 27-bed medical surgical unit specializing in orthopedic surgery and bariatrics /n• Maintain patient ratios of 5-6 patients to 1 nurse /n• Minimum 2 years of medical surgical experience in a hospital setting required /n• Preferred experience includes 2 years in medical surgery, orthopedics, or bariatrics /n• Work with equipment including Hoyer lifts, CPM machines, and code carts /n• Handle typical procedures including orthopedic surgeries (knees, hips, shoulders, cervical) and bariatric procedures /n• Required to work 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule /n• May float to Medical Oncology unit as needed /n• Work collaboratively with team members including charge RN, staff RNs, LNAs, and unit coordinator /n• Day shift includes 5-6 RNs and 2-3 LNAs; night shift includes charge RN, RNs, and 2-3 LNAs /n• BLS certification required /n• No specific scrub color requirements /n• Must demonstrate patient-focused care and collaborative teamwork skills /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive medical surgical unit with a focus on orthopedic surgery and bariatric care.
