Job Description:
Advanced Surgical Associates is seeking a highly skilled and
dedicated Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team.
Our practice is at the forefront of surgical innovation,
specializing in minimally invasive procedures across various
specialties. This role requires a compassionate professional who is
adept in both clinical tasks and patient care, providing support
directly to oral surgeons during dental procedures. The ideal
candidate will have a robust understanding of dental surgery
protocols and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a
fast-paced environment. Assist oral surgeons during various dental
surgical procedures, ensuring all tools and equipment are readily
available and sterile. Prepare patients for surgery, including
taking medical history, explaining procedures, and ensuring
comfort. Manage post-operative care, including suture removal,
dressing changes, and patient follow-ups. Maintain and sterilize
dental instruments and surgical areas before and after procedures.
Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery
or other dental treatment procedures. Take and process dental
X-rays and manage patient records with thoroughness and accuracy.
Assist with the inventory management of surgical supplies and
materials. Collaborate with other team members to provide seamless
and efficient patient care. Proficient in dental X-ray machinery
and techniques. Strong understanding of infection control and
sterilization techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills. Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential from the Dental
Assisting National Board (DANB) is preferred. CPR certification is
required.
