*Overview*We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Surgical Technologist plays a crucial role in the operating room, ensuring that surgical procedures are conducted safely and efficiently. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff in various settings including hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers.*Duties** Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures by utilizing aseptic techniques.* Assist surgeons and surgical teams by passing instruments, sutures, and other necessary supplies during operations.* Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and functioning before each procedure.* Monitor patient vitals and assist in patient care before, during, and after surgery.* Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement infection control protocols effectively.* Participate in the setup of operating rooms for different types of surgeries including emergency medicine and acute care cases.* Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures, instruments used, and any complications that arise during surgery.* Stay informed about advancements in hospital medicine practices and surgical technologies.*Requirements*Call Required per Rotation: Call is rotating and assigned by the needs of the unit. Baseline call is approximately one day every other week as a backup to our staffed night shift and approximately one weekend call shift per month (24 hours).
