The Role
This role plays a critical part in developing next-generation
digital capabilities for clinical study design and planning,
supporting Moderna's mission to deliver the greatest possible
impact to people through mRNA medicines. As a Senior Product
Manager, you will lead efforts to integrate AI-native capabilities,
structured data, and analytics to empower decision-making, mitigate
risk, and enhance financial transparency across the clinical
portfolio.Sitting within the Digital for Development team, this
role will focus on unifying data, processes, and analytics to
enhance operational agility ensuring that clinical development
stakeholders can collaboratively plan and adjust as needed,
accelerating time to insight and optimizing program outcomes.Here's
What You'll Do
- Define product vision, roadmap, and requirements for solutions
that support clinical study planning, aligning with Moderna's
broader clinical development goals.
- Leverage AI-driven insights and structured data to improve
study planning, financial forecasting, and operational
efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical operations,
clinical supply, portfolio reporting & analytics, regulatory,
finance, and engineering teams to drive innovation and ensure
seamless integration of new capabilities.
- Identify and resolve operational challenges and optimize
resource allocation to ensure smooth product development and
delivery.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and
benchmarks to measure and continuously improve product performance,
quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Actively seek opportunities for cross-organizational innovation
and alignment to drive measurable business impact.
Here's What You'll Need (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations or
related field.
- 6+ years of relevant experience in product and program
management or business analysisHere's What You'll Bring to the
Table (Preferred Qualifications)
- Strong hands-on engineering experience either as an individual
contributor and/or leading an engineering team, prior to transition
to product role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and
motivate cross-functional teams and create a culture of excellence
and continuous learning.
- Strong ability to translate complex clinical and operational
needs into data-driven product solutions.
- Familiarity with product management methodologies, such as
Agile, Lean and/or design thinking, and proficiency in product
management tools and software.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build
relationships, collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, and
influence outcomes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the
ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts to
diverse audiences.
- Proven experience leading operational excellence and lean
programs in a matrixed organization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt
to changing priorities and requirements.
