Job Details

Procurement Manager Essential Functions
Oversees daily purchases of ingredients, packaging and other materials as needed
Manages communication of specs to vendors and coordinates COA s
Communicates with storage facilities to ensure delivery expectations are met.
Develops mid range purchasing plans for long lead time ingredients. Manages material flow between storage facilities and factory.
Produces detailed, polished, professional communications both to vendors and internally to peers.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience
Broad understanding of all purchasing functions. Broad understanding of ingredients and management of perishables. Broad understanding of manufacturing capabilities and constraints.
Knowledgeable at interpreting BOM s, recipes and batching constraints
Knowledge of Navision Dynamics or other ERP/MRP packages with a high degree of comfort handling data.
Advanced excel skills required; must understand formula construction, pivot tables, data types.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of senior managers and peers.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in mathematical, verbal or written form.
Able to deal with multiple variables and imperfect data sources.
