A pivotal part of ensuring our delivery capabilities is maintaining our fleet of diesel vehicles, which is why we are seeking an experienced Diesel Fleet Mechanic to join our team. This role requires a technical expert who can maintain and repair diesel engines and vehicle systems, ensuring that all our food deliveries reach their destinations on time, every time. Perform routine and emergency maintenance on all diesel vehicles in the fleet, including diagnostic tests. Maintain vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting. Maintain vehicle records by annotating services and repairs. Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. Contain costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options. Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt. Ensure compliance with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications. In-depth knowledge of diesel engines and related systems Experience with diagnostics tools and equipment Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams Excellent problem-solving skills Strong organizational and communication skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k ASE Diesel Certification Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Preferred: CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)
