UniFirst Corporation, a leader in providing workplace uniforms and protective wear in North America and Europe, is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our Engineering & Maintenance Department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the operational efficiency of our production equipment and facilities, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability of machinery essential to our uniform and facility service programs. Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to ensure efficient operation. Perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic; identify and replace worn or defective parts as needed. Troubleshoot issues with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to minimize downtime. Record maintenance and repair work performed and the costs of the work in maintenance logs. Collaborate with compliance to ensure adherence to health and safety policies and procedures. Coordinate with external vendors for complex repairs and maintenance schedules. Assist in the implementation of new equipment and systems, including installation and initial setup. Train and guide junior maintenance staff. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial equipment Proficient in troubleshooting issues with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Skill in using hand and power tools appropriately and safely Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT) certification preferred OSHA Safety Certification
